With the COVID crisis at its peak in the summer of 2020, the BBC turned to Kunal to share his thoughts on government guidelines for dentists. He was part of an army of clinical professionals to volunteer time and resources during the pandemic at London’s temporary Nightingale hospital.
We’ve literally just been given the guidance has given us less than one working day to get things in place. We’ve had to do all of this, be patient. It’s not just a case of just getting a mask and, you know, or opening the doors. We have to get policies in place. Patients are ringing. It’s really disappointing as a professional that those who are in charge of us give us so limited time and a message knowing that a message is going out to the public, which is really misleading.
